GeneHealth.AI's Multi-Step Process for Personalized Disease Predictions

To provide your personalized disease predictions, Gene Health.AI utilizes a multi-step process across multiple reports.

Once your DNA is sequenced, we look through all of the about 16,000,000 coding positions for mutations. These coding positions are the nucleotides which are responsible for coding for your proteins. With your mutations, we predict disease associations for your mutations with our algorithms ENTPRISE and ENTPRISE-X.

After looking through the disease association scores predicted by ENTPRISE and ENTPRISE-X, we take the most confident ones and look at these mutated proteins’ pathways. In your body, there are numerous biochemical pathways, each responsible for various functions. In each of the disease-associated, mutated proteins, we examine the protein’s pathways and use Know-GENE to predict diseases for that pathway. We take the disease predictions from the mutated protein and pathway data and provide your disease propensity report.

The Mendelian Component

There is another component of your disease propensity report, which is based on your nucleotide mutations associated with Mendelian diseases. Mendelian diseases are those that are caused by a single or handful of mutations. For your Mendelian diseases, we look at known nucleotide positions associated with specific Mendelian diseases or traits. Using the information from specific nucleotide positions, we use this to predict your Mendelian disease propensities. If you have a Mendelian disease predicted, you are more likely to be affected by it because a single or handful of nucleotides are responsible for it as opposed to possibly numerous protein mutations.
